Bill, Hill, AND Edwards Saturday?

By Antonio D. French

Filed Friday, January 18, 2008 at 9:17 AM

Looks like St. Louis is going to have a presidential trifecta this weekend.

As we reported earlier, presidential candidate John Edwards is coming to town for a rally at the Carpenters' District Council headquarters at 9:15 A.M. on Saturday.

Now the Post reports that Bill and Hillary Clinton will also be in town Saturday (no details yet on when and where).

Strange. Isn't there an important caucus going on that day?

caucus, schmaucus. After the culinary union backed obama, and the lawsuit to change the rules that was not filed by Hillary was dismissed as ridiculous, the decision was made that cauduses are just not very significant.

If Hillary's nubers don't come up in South carolina, that, too, will be downplayed, on the basis that too many black people vote in that state.

Actually, it makes a lot of sense. The caucus takes place early in the day, and the presence of the candidates in the state will make very little difference. It's best to move along to other states who will be voting in the near future.
