State Rep. Brad Robinson (D-Bonne Terre) and his wife were reportedly caught on camera driving away after hitting a man with their pickup truck. Robinson has been charged with a felony hit-and-run while his wife is accused of lying to police by saying she was the driver. Labels: Crime
From Heartland News:Police say Robinson's wife, Tara, first told them they saw a man in the ditch and tried to help. She later told them she was driving a pick-up truck when she struck something and went back and saw a man laying on the side of the road. At the time, the other passengers as well as Brad and Tara Robinson said Tara was the driver.
Here's a PDF of the actual charges filed against Robinson. And here's the probable cause statement.
Later, police found surveillance video of the Robinson vehicle pulling into the parking lot of the North County High School. Police say the video shows Brad Robinson leaving the driver's side of the trucka nd switching positions in the vehicle with his wife.
After another interview, all the people in the Robinson truck said Tara Robinson was in fact the driver of the vehicle when the man was struck.

What type of man would have his wife or anyone take the rap for his wrongdoing? Obviously he is a despicable human being and I hope the full wrath of the legal system falls on him both criminally and civilly!

What's really interesting is that after switching places they head south toward their home not back north where the victim was laying in the road!
