The official proclamation says the Board has "Systematically implemented policies and procedures to ensure the responsible execution of the requirements established by the Help America Vote Act and applicable state statutes."
But this isn't the first honor the city has given the BOEC. Last month, the Board of Aldermen passed a resolution praising the group's efficiency.
Still no word on a BOEC Day feast or gift-opening ceremony.

The BOEC will play a role in the recall of that damn Slay,he isn't trying to unduly influence the BOEC, is he?

Of course he is. I heard the BOEC didn't even expect the "honor".

Come on lets give the BOEC a little credit. I think they have really turned things around. republicans are good for something, cleaning up democrats messes.

A major factor in the improvement of the Board of Elections has been the Deputy Democratic Director Matthew Potter. He has provided great support to the Democratic Director Mary Wheeler-Jones as an attorney and an obviously quiet, efficient leader. He is a very professional guy and knows how resolve issues immediately. This guy should consider seeking higher ranks, and the Democratic Party should embrace him.

first Bill says they are swift-boating Hillary, and now someone is trying to Veronicize Matt Potter.
It's getting rough.
