St. Louisans Ride Peace Train

By Gabe Bullard

Filed Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 12:40 AM

This morning, nearly 200 people from St. Louis and surrounding areas will ride out of town on the 6:00 am Amtrak train to Chicago, or as they call it, the Peace Train.

The passengers are going to the Windy City to take part in the Mobilization to End the War, a demonstration against the war in Iraq. Chicago is one of eleven cities taking part in the Mobilization, and it will serve as the Midwestern hub for those taking part in the protest.

170 Peace Train tickets were available, and all were sold by Friday afternoon.

For more details about the demonstration, click here.

St Louis could sure use a few of these bold young minds back. Maybe that cop that got shot would have had a partner. Many of our best are not only there... they are not here.

Well I must say at this point in time...The Bush Administration don't give a dayum about a peace train or any other train..The Iraq war is entering into its 5th year with no end in sight..Here is a guy that took this country into war based on one of the biggest lies ever told. Just as Johnson did during the vietnam era...But atleast for Johnson he got the hell out and did not seek another term..Bush had the american people scared shitless and was re-elected because of it...when will we ever learn...politians are the biggest liars in this country..This country possess well over 20.000 nuclear weapons more than any nation on the planet and had these fools in this country thinking that Iraq was a threat to this country...yes I must repeat...when will we ever learn...
