Incredible! What can we do about this clear bias? Where can we mail letters? Who can we call?

I know, how do we take down this website?

I have never seen such an axe to grind.

Mr. French why do you hate the Mayor so much? Did he refuse your extortion techniques? Did he refuse to pay you to do nothing? I understand you are upset, many other polititians pay you for nothing and Slay should do the same!

Seriously, you need to stop claiming to be a journalist, this site is propaganda pure and simple.

May the Lord bless you and save you.

^ Looks like Callow's Public Eye interns are in the office.

If Antonio wanted to be like Lizz "Pay to Play" Brown, I don't think he would tell us who he does work for.

Channel 5 is crap. I watch Channel 2 at 9:00 and in the morning. Still biased against the city (north especially), but not nearly as bad as 5. I think 2 has the most black reporters too.

That,s it Anon 9:26, it's all about being black on Antonio's "Black Blog".

That's right Anon 9:32. Blacks are not supposed to report on blacks. Blacks should just shut up and be quiet.

I am so sick of you people attacking Antonio for... what? Using his blog, which he started all by himself, to write about the things that interest him. If you don't like it, go away. We love it! We actually wish there was more if it!

Keep up the good work, Antonio!!!

KSDK is for Mayor Slay what Fox News is for ________.

"President Bush"

Now can I get a 100K job at the airport that I am in no way qualified for like Slay's brother?

I notice none of you haters refuted anything in Mr. French's report. The fact is that the KSDK report is grossly inaccurate and unfair. They should be reported to Gannet corporate and the FCC. They should be picketed. They should be forced to fire or bar Mike Owens from doing political stories because of his relationship to Alderman Lyda Krewson and consultant Richard Callow. All this fuss about Mr. French's relationships with his clients, which he fully discloses, but nothing ever on Channel 5 about Owens' relationships. Hmmmmmmm?

Did anyone hear Alvin Reid and Charlie Brennan yesterday on KMOX? They were discussing the demotion of Chief George and the recall effort.

Brennan cited the educational achievement gap among black males as the reason for the poor test results, while Alvin Reid said the issue was about "respect" for Chief George.

Sounds like that's the crux of the racial divide right there.

Brennan's facts had to do with educational performance, while Reid's facts had to do with respect.

I guess the question is how do you respect a man (George) who ignores the facts (test results, court orders)?

why are we still talking about this? NO ONE CARES!!

10/24/2007 10:15 AM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Sorry to the last poster, but people do care, and this issue is going to resolve one way or another. It will get interesting when local elected officials are called to account on their position on the recall. Then we will see how much this issue falls along racial lines.

I'm guessing the last poster is a fireman or spouse of one, and that all they care about is pay, promotions, and pensions. The rest of the city's priorities, (sort of like the way cops think), be damned.

i find it interesting that NONE of the african-american members of the board of aldermen are supporting the recall.......

Even Lewis Reed said he wouldnt sign a recall petition.....listen to him on KMOX.

This recall petition could end up driving a wedge in the black community more than anything else. What a sorry state of affairs indeed.

"i find it interesting that NONE of the african-american members of the board of aldermen are supporting the recall..."

Don't be so sure about that. Just because they aren't out front of the issue doesn't mean they aren't supporting the effort in other ways.

10/24/2007 4:24 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Reed won't sign the petition because although I'm sure he privately supports it, he needs to distance himself from the initiative to keep him "clean" for his Mayoral bid. Blacks will vote for him anyway, but he doesn't want to polarize everyone else.

Ha, I wonder why Antonio posted a puff-piece for Reed within the same timeframe? Reed was a former client of Antonio, is he still a current client?

This is not a news blog. It's political pay for play.

Channel 5 does need to come clean with its poor reporting on a major City Issue and show respect to the issues of the Voters and not the Mayor's failed agenda..As for Mr. French he serves a prosective many whites (including myself see )..Also remember Mike Owens wife Lyda Krewson very close to Mr. Gregali who didn't mention a thing about his legal problems while running for re-election (check Arch City Cronicle article re:Crybabies) and driving Obama for Sen McCaskill... but then he is thick as thieves with Mayor Slay and I feel "the People (all)" have a strong voice to be heard when it comes to Public Safety and its representatives..As far as Richard Callows (Barb Geisman's husband)why the special bike trip to check the protestors out? Maybe people see to much and want TRUTH!!! Go ANTONIO Keep the Heat on!!Too bad Post Dipatch and Channel 5 choose dog fights over the problems of this CITY for front page news..So Sad the deceit in this CITY..People want better for there BUCK..Get as better Channel 5 give them a call..Public Service Announcement Save Our City Recall these Liars..

I heard that Antonio got "let go" by Reed a few months back and he is no longer his political/press person. Can anyone verify this?

Recall! Recall Lewis Reed! He fired Antonio because he is black! Wait, no, damn...that doesn't work. Well, Antonio, think of a reason we can blame Lewis for your incompetence and we'll rally with you! We'll bring THOUSANDS with us. Or really maybe around 90 people or so.

Either way, RECALL LEWIS because he fired Antonio! He's racist because he fired Antonio!

Why is St. Louis County trying to recall the City's Mayor?

I for one will not stand here and be told what to do by St. Louis County.

This video reminds me of another news story:

"Who all seen tha leprechaun say yeah!!

Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh!"

It could be a crackhead who got hold to da wrong stuff and it told him to get up in a tree and play a leprechaun!

Sheeeeeeeeit.

Black people: quit playing the race card. It's pathetic at this point.

That is all.

10/25/2007 4:32 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

No, keep playing the race card. The more you play it the more insignificant it becomes. Then maybe someday you'll have to blame yourselves for your mistakes instead of "Whitey"
