Everyone knows the way to an alderman's heart is through their stomach. So when the city's legislative body meets this morning, breakfast will be provided by none other than Attorney General candidate Jeff Harris. Labels: AG_Race_2008, Aldermen
If he follows the usual menu, Harris, a Democratic state representative from Columbia, will be wining and dining aldermen, reporters and visitors on a spread of coffee (caff and decaf) and donuts. Or if he really splurges, bagels and pastries from the St. Louis Bread Company.
UPDATE: He splurged. Bagels, coffee — and orange juice! — from Bread Co.

Is he going to serve up some milquetoast? No shortage there.

I like Harris.
Maybe he should explain to the BOA how government is supposed to work.
Like they'd listen.
I may be wrong but aren't there more aldermen than state reps?

I heard before next week's meeting Grandma Donnelly is going to bake them cookies and tell them about when the picture show used to cost a nickle.

I think Mr. French is upset because he wasn't invited to the meeting so he could pack on a few unneeded extra pounds. Maybe if you took them donuts you could actually get an interview from one of them

Is that how cheaply you can buy an alderperson now, with coffee and donuts?

He did splurge on bagels and spread from St. Louis Bread Co as well as some mixed fruit --- no pastries though. There was also orange juice. I confess -- I had one asiago bagel.

I happened to be there. Harris is a great guy. He's my choice. He has the right ideas about the office of AG and seems to be honorable. By the way, there was pastries... they went fast and there was no milquetoast.

Jeff is one of the most ethical, quality individuals in politics today.

Jeff Harris should run for the seat of Attorney General the next time around, he does not have support coming from St. Louis voters.
However, people in Columbia do eat a lot of donuts and drink a lot of coffee. This may be why it is rumored that his childhood nickname was "Pillsbury Doughboy."

Hey Ant! With all of your vast political experience how come you can't extort Jeff for a cool 20K?
