The Missouri House and Senate both came back into session today to revisit the economic development package (HB 327) previously vetoed by Governor Matt Blunt. Of course, included in that package is the controversial Land Assemblage Tax Credit. Labels: Blairmont, State_House, State_Senate
There was not much action today. In fact, the House was only in session long enough to first and second read the bill and refer it to committee for a hearing.
That hearing is scheduled for noon tomorrow. Check PubDef.net tomorrow afternoon for video from the hearing.

"Although the Senate had a full chamber - and plenty of discussion - on the first day of the special session, just 10 House members were present in the chamber during their 5-minute opening session. House Speaker Rod Jetton, R-Marble Hill, presided in shorts and a casual shirt - ignoring the typical dress code of a coat and tie."
