Agreed.

The day after KMOV aired this, a piece ran on KMOX, at 2:00 in the afternoon. It would seem that someone in the media section of Sam Moore's office is on the ball. Identifying the brick as a 'natural resource' of sorts, was common sense on the level of genius.

i thought that the pubdef story was richer and provided a better context for who was doing this and why. However, it seemed that Matt Sepic over at KWMU scooped everybody.

I am a good demo man and can pallet bricks just like the people in the video. However, these people are exempt from existing workers protection and have no health coverage. They may or may not be covered by workers compensation. they are like migrant farms workers.
The contractor is making real good money off this salvage. The building division can do a better job of policing demolition sites.
Improved Demolition standards can be monitored and done better and safer. Clean up the demolition standards and prepare the north side for future development. Give subsidizes for site work, expand the scope of work and watch the north side improve.
