Bourisaw has given up on Purdy and company. She wants a paycheck.

So we know what she is about money and jobs just like the union. It looks like her true colors are coming out. She seems to only be in the way.

The legislation that created the transitional board indicates that it is scheduled to be DISSOLVED on July 1, 2008. This information is available on the transitional board's own website. www.sab-stl.com.

In July 2008, the state board of education must determine if they should seek to REESTABLISH the transitional board. This will require them to give notice to the governor and general assembly. If it is shown that its purpose has been accomplished, the dissolution stands, and the elected board could be returned to power as early as next summer--even without a lawsuit.

In light of all this, doesn't it make sense for the elected board to continue to meet and be involved in the process?

All those who are overly gleeful about the "takeover" should do their homework.

Were there cameras at the new board's meet and greet?

I was surprised to see no article posted.

Jason, I think the first commenter was noting that the superintendent was not at the 9:00 meeting of the elected board. The second commenter (who very well may be the same person as the first) seems to be making a joke. You are correct that the appointed board did not meet until later in the day.

I may very well turn off anonymous comments again if it is abused.

Thanks for reading. Don't let a few ignorant comments here and there turn you off to open discussions.

I enjoy a lot of the anonymous comments--------unless they are slandering someone in blatantly specific ways.

Most of them are just funny.
