At the final meeting of the St. Louis School Board before a judge is to decide whether they should remain in control of the troubled school district, one board member showed up with a clear anti-takeover message — painted on her face. Labels: Schools
Taking the Mike Tyson approach to personal expression, board member and parent Donna Jones sat thoughout tonight's meeting with the words "No State Takeover" written over her entire face in black marker.

Yes this is sad. What a fool.

Just wondering what might happen to a SLPS student who showed up with "No Homework" printed across her face in magic marker....

Well, you know Veronica said some cannot deal with a strong black woman. Is this the same for Donna Jones?
Some reported that the media caught her pouting last night. Now we can't even access the video of what she said to Peter Downs.

Rochelle Moore,Veronica O'Brien and Donna Jones are good for keeping the psychiatric community employed!

Yes your life wouldn't be complete unless you talk about me. Have fun my friends.

Star are you a man or a woman? Do you like yourself? Have fun you dumpling.

Star - I just wanted you to know that Veronica has strong support across the community. It is you who is hiding behind the veil of the blog to cast your insults. So child like.
Veronica - I hope to one day know what it is you have on Purdy & Downs, obviously they are afraid of you. It's a shame they were able to force David to make a retraction on his comments.

Veronica, if you are out there---thank you for the courageous work you did in confronting Floyd Irons.
I wonder two things---are you getting a sense of deja vu asking for information and---from your point of view--having it denied---as you demanded pertinent information back in the greg williams days?
I will forever wonder just what the hell happened with regard to Tim Bacon. At one point, you were ready to have a federal investigation of the alleged 2000 beating----then he was murdered, then the people you now have almost total disdain for voted extra protection for you denied by the city.
I wonder if you ever think back to that sequence of events, and whether it looks different to you nowadays.

All, I am doing fine working hard and can't wait for my next project.
One thing for sure, I stand my ground and usaully end up being close to the right side.
My work with the district was truly from the heart. Many don't know that I started with the district back in the late 80's. I worked hard to be a role model back then and I will continue to be a positive influence in the lives of our young citizens.
It breaks my heart to see the theft, waste and lies that come from this administration. No wonder the Federal government is watching school district, supterintendents and CFO.
I remain a new friend of the Bacon family and I am doing what I can to help them adjust to their new life. Don't worry the truth will COME OUT.
I plan to share my years with the school district in some meaningful way. Stay tune!!!! Be positive and all that have lied on me and done such awful things to me--remember I remain strong and yes I do hold a few cards in my back pocket on these characters.
Don't forget to read to your children every night!!!

Stupid, pointless, irrelevant.
I can imagine Bluto Blutarski standing in the background saying "Toga, Toga, Toga..."
6/13/2007 2:56 PM
Well, at least there is a video and many testimonies of how disrespectfully you treat others, Veronica.
Be careful of the story you write, because some folks know a lot about you too and your history. Talk about lies, those, the namecalling, such as, "Uncle Tom," and the expletives will make for most interesting reading.
6/13/2007 3:11 PM
My we are getting angry. Shall I include a list of the Uncle Tom's?
You start your story and I will finish it. Only Uncle Tom's hide!
Who be the boss man? Who be it?
You all are too funny! I am going to miss you all!

Is that you Helen Louise??
Rex
6/13/2007 3:36 PM
Nope, it's not Helen Louise, but it does seem the previous post from a board member could use help from an English teacher. Sorry, I teach science.
6/13/2007 3:44 PM
Are you having fun with yourself?
My you got a response from me not anonymous.
Hate getting you done? Call 1877-314-hate.

Ms. O'Brien,
Thank you for signing your posts.
6/13/2007 5:00 PM
I agree with Jim even when the alias of "Rex" is used. "Rex" isn't too far off, is it?
6/13/2007 5:53 PM
You and Jim are right.
6/13/2007 6:59 PM
My word. You folks are not capable of running your mouths off, much less running a school district. Shame on you and GO AWAY!!!
6/13/2007 9:36 PM
"Trouble" is probably another alias; she has many.
6/13/2007 9:47 PM
Hi Trouble,
Wouldn't it be easier for you all if you just used your real names?
6/13/2007 10:14 PM
Tim R.-Unhappy taxpayer here.
TR ouble...see?
6/13/2007 10:29 PM
So the three white people voted for the white candidate. Three black people voted for the black candidate. And crazy Donna Jones voted with the white folks. Hmmmmmmm.
6/14/2007 8:53 AM
Typical St. Louis, at least some people have gotten over the racial polarization you seem to support!
And what races voted for the vice president and the secretary?
Sounds like a racist posting to me.
6/14/2007 9:43 AM
Do you all really believe it is a racist thing? I don't. Maybe I am totally naive but I have never gotten that idea from ANY of the current board members. Yeah, some of them might hate each others guts...but I don't think it is primarily because of race.
(Note to critics: I admit to possibly being naive)
Trouble...I like it.
