During our last trip to Jefferson City, State Rep. Rodney Hubbard talked to Pub Def about his latest education proposal, the "Missouri 4 For More Program". Labels: Schools, State_House
House Bill 259 creates the new program, which would allow parents of K-12 school children to receive four hours of paid leave per month to work with their children in their children's school. In exchange for giving the parents time off work, employers would receive a state tax credit.

Since I was proposing this while on the schoolboard before I went off in 2005, during the 2005 mayor's race, and during the 2006 state rep race against Rodney, and during the St. Louis hearing before Rodney's Subcommitte on "scholarships", wouldnt it be nice if Rodney or someone remembered to give me credit for it? One of my best ideas. I'd be glad to give credit to Rodney for recognizing its wisdom and proposing it in legislation.
