Since a few weeks before Election Day, one or more people have been basically spamming the site with ignorant comments. So until further notice, no one will be allowed to post comments anonymously anymore. Labels: Announcements

Good. If people are too timid to say something, and have a name with it, then they probably shouldn't say anything.
One of the criticisms we hear about blogs is anonymous attacks.

I have to admit, I'm uncomfortable being a target of some of the anonymous posters who have anger issues. It's a shame, though, that people prefer to hijack a thread rather than engage in an intelligent discourse on the topic.

It is also easier to hide behind an anny. posting than be willing to discourse with another's point of view.
Radical Left or Radical Right, it doesn't make a difference. What matters is if one is willing to put name to post and defend their position. Sadly, many aren't.

Well, I guess that I am a blogger now.

"Trouble" or "Troubled," please don't attribute comments I haven't made to me in the future.
What I have to say I am willing to put my name to.

Harsh but fair.
Sure did miss you during all this.

I guess I'm a blogger now...

Yo, HL, were you at City Hall praying with the students or was that an anonymous blogger disrespecting you?

So, Pink, are you still out there? We miss you.

No, I was not at City Hall. I work part time. Since I don't read these blogs everyday, I'm not sure if I was disrespected or not.
However, I was e-mailed one posting from the Board President. I don't know if she was intimating she thought I wrote it, but I didn't and asked that such emails having nothing to do with me or my writings not be sent to me. I felt harassed or threatened.

Trouble: I guess I'm a blogger now too. I'm the one you mistook for Helen. I have enjoyed our conversations.
Helen: I considered it a compliment to be mistaken for you. I am sorry if you got flack from people because of things I said. I guess they can stick their pins in me now. Fortunately, I am immune to voodoo. Honesty repels it.
All: I'm also the Ariel who put the new (March 9) post on stlschool.org/forum. It is my goal to get people to see the bigger picture about the schools issue. I do NOT believe this is just a St. Louis or a Missouri issue.
Where is Gadfly? Did he finally explode from the injustice of it all? Are you out there?

Sorry, thats stlschools.org/forum
See, even well-educated adults do not always pay close attention to their grammar or typos while blogging...

For this blogger I have made several posts using different names. Since I only respond to the education articles the reason I choose to use different names is for protection from a very vindictive school principal that does not believe in free speech (I have gotten reprimanded for recognizing students through sending e-mail to the school staff). He and/or she think school is about them not the children (but that is a whole other issue).
I respect Mr. French’s decision to remove the anonymous privilege because of those who have abused that privilege. To be honest I am a little surprised that it lasted as long as it did. It is a shame that there are always those few that have to abuse various privileges thus making more laws and rules for the rest of use that do follow the rules anyway. Whether you or I may agree or disagree most of the responses were honest and from the heart. We decided whether the facts were correct or not.

Thank goodness. Things were getting so bad I almost quit reading this blog. However, I must say that with people using names like "trouble" and "worried teacher," that's not much different than anonymous as far as I can tell.

I used to use my name, but I ridiculed the beatification of Saint Jeff enough that someone (an anonymous Democratic party official) called me trouble and it stuck. TRouble only shows as trouble on the blog. timr
(please note- I have nothing against Jeff Smith, I just don't think that he should be a Saint before he has completed his three miracles.)
What do you think, Oracle? Fair to use a pseudonym?
