Coming with the ensorsements from Unions is usually PAC money. I noticed that President Shrewsbury raised $118,000. this period. Mr. Reed has once again violated State law by NOT filing before the deadline.
All the rhetoric on blogs don't add up compared to when one candidate has enough support that means money and the other candidate has raised so little he doesn't even file on time. Aldermanic support usually doesn't help too much financially compared to unions and Mr. Shrewsbury has all of them except for Local 73.

On February 26, 2007, the Missouri Ethics Commission (MEC) was notified by the Committee to Elect Reed that due to emergency surgery in the campaign's Treasurer's family, the report titled "8 Day Before Primary Election" would be late. At which point, the campaign was given an opinion by the MEC that there are allowances for such emergencies, as they often occur in campaigns.
At this time, Alderman Lewis Reed and the entire Committee to Elect Reed sends its thoughts and prayers to Thomas Shepard, campaign Treasurer, and his family.

Travis, sorry to hear about Mr. Shepard's family.
When can we expect the report?

My previous post was made as a representative of the campaign. Hence the "on behalf of" in the name.
I spoke with the Treasurer late last night, and his mother is still undergoing observation. At the campaign, all of our thoughts are with their family at this time.
I believe the report was posted last night, and can be found here.

My thoughts and prayers do go out to the Shepard family to be sure. I do have a question, though -- why was the 40 day report 11 days late?
2/28/2007 11:43 AM
Richard Callow, "slays real boy" gave Reed $1,000.
Thanks for the link Travis!
