State Rep. Rodney Hubbard is having a birthday party and he's inviting the whole city. Labels: Announcements
Hubbard and entrepreneur Kevin Bryant, of Inkosi Design Studio, are hosting the "1st Annual St. Louis House Party" on Friday, Dec. 8 to celebrate their birthdays and their love for their town.
"Rodney Hubbard and Kevin Bryant believe that we’ve got a lot to be proud of in St. Louis," reads their press release. "...Our sports teams, entertainers and of course all the new development that’s going on downtown. That’s why they are celebrating their birthdays with not just their families, but all of St. Louis."
The party starts at 9:00 at Club Dreams, 3207 Washington, and will be hosted by Chocolate Tai, of Nelly's Derrty Entertainment, and Universal Records recording artist Penelope.
And St. Louis' own Jibbs, the latest hometown rapper to break through to national fame, is scheduled to perform his hit "Chain Hang Low".
A portion of the proceeds from this event will go towards "Toys in the Hood", a not for profit venture created to provide toys for low income families for the holidays.

This is the type of party that needs to be thrown in St. Louis. There will be plenty of half-naked, big chested, weave wearing, scantilly clothed ladies there letting their thong "hang low" with fat booties, and plenty of playas looking at them. The entertainment will be good and derrty, with plenty of bit@$#%# and ho!@*.
We need a "House Party" in the "MF" STL, good looking out!

Will your mother be one of the bit@$#%# and ho!@* at the party with her thong "hanging low"?

Chain Hang Low.
Bunch of damn pop style rap.
Good idea for the party but who wants to hear a kid rap about his chain?

Club Dreams must be one BIG place to hold the entire population of STL. Fire codes be damned! We can fit 300,000 people in this place.
Inviting the whole City of St. Louis!!! What a bunch of Bullshit1 Sounds good, but how many citizens of this city even know who Hubbard is or even cares. What an ego.

Obviously Hubbard is trying to attract the youth of this city which seems to be a damn smart idea since the decisions we make impact them now and in the future. Do you know how many come of voting age every year? Hubbard seems to understand that the youth are a key to change in St. Louis and sticking to the old ways just aren't working. There were over 89,000 youth in St. Louis according to the 2000 census. If only 10,000 came of age between 2000 and 2006, that is 10,000 more votes. That is 10,000 voters that are between 18 and 24 years old that no one but Hubbard seems to be willing to relate to. Do your thing Rodney. I will have 3 of age in 2008 and we will be there.
I have only 1 request, can we take it back for a minute and do a rollcall like back in the day?

I agree. At the last election, I saw a young man with bandanas, jeans to his knees, tatoos, and cornrows in the voting booth. You might not like it, but he gave somebody his vote.

She get it from her mama is what Juvenile says. Don't hate on the women that want to pop that coo#$&! You probably shake yo money maker too!
Dopedealers, ballers, players, pimps, and all the nasty sh!& that women do is allowed at these type of motherfu#$%# parties. This is time to find a "one night woman" for the New Year! Slide that credit card down that backside, and get your change!

Yeah let the young people have their day, maybe for the first timer a party will go on without any stupid fights.

Yall just mad that you don't have a credit card for the ATM. Either you have the coins or you don't. If you don't have what it takes, find a friend that does and invite them to the party.
If you can't participate, don't playa hate, invite an earthquake on the shake yo moneymaker scale.
Shake it, shake it, shake it.
By the way, queens shake it mo than anybody else in the dark.

"The trouble with teenagers (some black males) is you don't know nothing. The problem with teenagers (some black males) is you think you're smarter than people who've already been down the road you traveling."
We have to show pride in our race, respect to our ladys and bring about change for our nation.
I applaud Rep. Hubbard, but lets try to do something for our engaged political youth. They deserve something because they are our future.
Rep. Hubbard is quite interesting. take Sen. Obama's advice... "If you're walking down the right path and you're willing to continue walking, then eventually you'll make progress."
Keep going strong. One suggestion... To me it seems like Rep Hubbard is reaching out to his district, which is excellent, but try to help diversify the matter and include other races while WE continue to move foward. The UPC was a great step.
