Sixth Ward Committeeman Patrick Cacchione will be launching his campaign for alderman this week with a kick-off party and fundraiser. Labels: Alderman_Races
Cacchione is looking to replace Ald. Lewis Reed who is running for Aldermanic President. The only other candidate to so far announce a run to replace Reed is Kacie Starr Triplett, a former aide to Congressman Russ Carnahan.
Cacchione's kick-off party will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Sqwires Annex, 1415 South 18th Street.
The Democratic primary election is March 6, 2007.

Are Dems allowed to attend?

Cacchione needs to explain why he's donated to republicans.

He donated to Republicans because thats what he is. There is no other way to spin it around. Facts are facts.

He should run as a Republican. It is dishonest to run as a Democrat when one supports another party. Those who are tired of the one party system in St. Louis will never have two parties unless people actually run under the GOP ticket.

Patrick was a paid consultant for the Missourians Against Tax Abuse (Tobacco Companies) the coalition that led the fight against the tobacco tax... another corporate republican puppet.

I am positive there is a plausible explaination for why he gave $ to Talent two years ago. I doubt a Democratic committeeman who has also given a lot of money to Democrats is a Republican.

There is no "plausible" explanation for a Democratic committeman giving money to Republicans. Also, these weren't small donations either. Even his wife gave money as well.
