The Suburban Journals recently published a story about the race currently taking shape to decide who will replace Lewis Reed as alderman of the 6th Ward. The same story, written by reporter Jim Merkel, was published in the Southside Journal and the Northside Journal and on their respective websites. Labels: Alderman_Races, Media_Watch
The Southside online version of the story is accompanied by an over-sized headshot of Committeeman and likely aldermanic candidate Patrick Cacchione, but no photo of Kacie Starr Triplett -- to date, the only candidate to have actually announced.
And on the Northside version, there's no photo at all. Hmmmmm.

Makes sense to me. They don't want people to know that an AA woman is also up for the seat in the suburbs. A YOUNG, CAPABLE AA woman at that.
And if she was ugly...I bet her headshot would be up in that other paper.

This is a paper which circulates in the City yet has no relevance for our City.
The Post Dispatch and Suburban Journals market is suburban "news." The focus is not on the City.
What can we expect from the worst urban newspaper in America?

Why doesn't Kacie Triplett have a steady boyfriend? She seems to be pretty attractive, plus intelligence.
Everyone on this website keeps talking about how attractive she is and smart.
Would she consider having a fundraiser where guys could bid on a date with her, and charge admission at the door? This would be kind of an auction to have a date with her for lunch.
That way she would not have to spend the holidays alone, and have the stress of the campaign without a close comrade to give her some comfort .

Doug for all its drawbacks (and there are many) the Southside Journal actual has a couple of good beat reporters who do a pretty good job of covering news at the neighborhood level. . .the pick up stories, especially about development proposals, that don't get covered elsewhere.

Don't turn this into a racial issue, moron. It's not one.

Kacie does have a boyfriend, I can confirm that. I've met him...the guy is a foot taller than her!!
That fundraiser idea still isn't all that bad though. LOL.
