Alderman Lewis Reed, who told PUB DEF earlier today that he wouldn't be announcing tonight, apparently changed his mind. At a meeting of the 6th Ward Democrats this evening, Reed said he is indeed running for President of the Board of Aldermen. The ward organization quickly suspended their rules and voted to endorse their alderman and make a $2,000 contribution to his campaign. Committeeman Patrick Cacchione and former Congressional aide Kacie Starr Triplett also announced their candidacies to replace Reed as alderman. We are told that the ward organization will wait to endorse in this race until possibly after the New Year. Labels: BOA_President_Race

Congratulations to Lewis Reed and the National League Champion St. Louis Cardinals for going to the World Series.
Lets hope we beat the Detroit Tigers in the World Series.
A New Busch Stadium for the National League Champion St. Louis Cardinals with hopefully a New President of the Board of Alderman named Lewis Reed, and maybe a New Mayor in 2008 named
Michael McMillan.
The momentum is changing in St. Louis, so Jim Shrewbury and Mayor Slay should step down and allow change to take place.
We appreciated your prior service to the City of St. Louis as Mayor, and now you are in danger of becoming the next Vince Schoemehl by serving (4) years too long. Mayor Slay has too much controversial baggage with him and we just don't trust your fiscal responsibilities or your staff members! By the way, the St. Louis Cardinals will make enough
Give it up Mayor Slay and show your support for the next capable leader, Mayor Michael McMillan.

But, the force is strong.

Nia THINKS she knows everything about everything but does NOT. Nia should try and get her old job back with the public schools and go somewhere and be quiet as opposed to jumping from one loosing campaign to another all over St. Louis. What ward do you live in these days or is it still North County?

Regardless of what anyone says except the voters of the City of St. Louis, License Collector Mike McMillan will be the Mayor of the City of St. Louis.
Mayor McMillan will finally bring St. Louis City together, and then St. Louis County will be happy to join forces with us on major projects that are good for the region.
Nia can't stop this train, but it is good to know where you stand as far as Mike McMillan goes. We will keep in mind that you dislike the Mike McMillan camp.
Well, you can't please everybody all of the time, but the Mike McMillan train will keep chugging along down the tracks for the betterment of the City of St. Louis.
One thing to remember Nia, when gates come down on the train tracks, don't stand on the tracks in the way of the train. That is against the law!
After all...Nia knows about train track accidents.

It's a shame how you guys just attack women. What have we come to when men who refuse to identify themselves carry on like this? I know that it's men; because I'm a man. I'M A STRONG BLACK MAN. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. I like readin' the blog from time to time. If every thing is in fun then that's cool. But y'all straight trippin' on a STRONG, BLACK, INTELLIGENT SISTAH SUCH AS NIA THAT'S FOUL. Y'all know she drops that knowledge.
