As many of our readers know, Jeff Smith, the soon-to-be state senator from St. Louis' 4th District, was the subject of a documentary film that has continued to grow in national popularity.Most recently, Smith and the film were featured in Jabari Asim's column in the Washington Post. And now they are the subject of a 6-question interview with Smith in Harper's Magazine.

The film, "Can Mr. Smith Get to Washington Anymore?", is playing in select theaters across the country now and will be broadcast on the PBS series "Independent Lens" on February 27, 2007.

This is actually a great movie. I saw it while it showed at the Tivoli. If you like documentaries, go se it. Funny comment above. ahahah!!!

The Film opens in Boston at the Kendall Cinema in Cambridge on November 3. Its currently playing in Portland, Oregon and screens at the Ragtag theater in Coumbia on Sunday and Monday. Other dates in KC, Indy, Chicago etc. are being added to http://www.mrsmithmovie.com/ShowTimes.cfm
