Percy Green is a has-been, who now contents himself to be a thorn in the side of anything backed by Francis Slay. Percy's still can't get over being fired from SLDC by Slay, so now anything Slay is FOR, Percy is AGAINST. (Reminds you of that Groucho Marx song, "Whatever it is, I'm Against It.") How sad a figure he has become. As they say, "Any mule can kick down a barn. But can a mule build one?" What barn has Percy built?

And people so brave as to post anonymously on blogs are the driving force of change? Grow some balls and show some respect, Anony.
Percy Green was organizing poor communities, taking action against unjust private and public organizations, and making real personal sacrifices for the sake of people of color when I was still in diapers and, I imagine, while you were doing better things like watching TV.
Oh, and Ben, a video answering your question will be posted shortly.

I believe the correct name of the judge is Jim Wahl. If that's who it is, both he and witness Purdy are members of the same ward organization.

Mr. French, as the anonymous poster you ask to "grow some balls," I must point out that even if everything you say about Green was true IN THE 1960'S, it doesn't change my assessment of his anti-Slay stance today. No one has elected Percy Green to speak for me, or, for that matter, for the African American community. And it is extremely doubtful that anyone would.
If you want to "respect" Mr. Green by hanging on his every illiterate word, that's your choice; it does not have to be mine. You should show some respect for your readers, Mr. French.

Percy Green and Jamala Rogers live in Forest Park Southeast, and not once have helped in anti-gentrification organizing there. As Alderman Roddy has pushed out poor black people, these "activists" are too busy playing Big Political Games to help defend actual people. What happened? Once upon a time they cared...
