UPDATE: A spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department tells PUB DEF they have no record of an attempted break-in at the address of Smith's office.
People in Smith's campaign say when they showed up this morning, the building's owner was there and he told them he received word early this morning that someone had been arrested after trying to break in. A phone call to the landlord was not immediately returned.

O boy Here we go.....
Nia knows something we dont....

Nia:
You surprise me. I thought "Nia Knows" (everything). Early this morning, the police arrested a man after he broke into the office. I believe the man to currently be in custody. While I do not know who this man is, his affiliations, or his motivations, I will be very disappointed if it turns out to have been someone from one of the other campaigns.

Ben:
By the way, I love your reference to the Hamburgler! It's sad that tehy retired all those characters like the frykids, Mayor McCheese, and Grimace. So sad....

Considering the current heated race, and the History of American Politics, an opponent endorsed, or directed break-in would be a logical conclusion.
However, given the lack of facts at this point, jumping to any conclusions is premature.

Damn......, we got Socrates and Plato discussing a crime seen. You need to get a job with csi stlouis. Nia dont watch the news, her source for info seems to be roomer and gosip. Mr. Small Nuts,
That's an interesting perspective, however circumstantial. Boykins might have unstable family members, yet every family has at least one of them. Lets wait for the police report.

Keep it on topic, people.

Nia knows that Bob Dole speaks in the 3rd person.
I visited Jeff Smith's office today, and they would not release much information.
The place appears to be quite secure, and I would not expect another attempt.

"ANON--If I knew, I would not have asked. Instead of watching the news I was at a neighbor's house organizing voter registration cards to beat the June 27th Deadline."
That Nia braking in to give the 4-1-1 to the smith campaign was a joke. You didn’t need to give an alibi... I also doubt you were organizing anything except you pillow at 3:15 am on the 21st.
I is odd that Smiths HQ would be robbed...
The front door is behind a chain link fence. The door itself has the Jeff smith yard sign on it.
Then you have to go up a flight of stairs to an office space reminiscent of Fight Club.
Not very glamorous... go to the Team El-Amin office if you want some nice digs.
6/22/2006 7:42 PM
Mr. French where were you at 3:15 this morning????
A printer occupies the first floor of that building… Perhaps a certain political tabloid publisher was attempting an early morning print run?
6/22/2006 7:46 PM
Anon number whatever:
Smiths office was an abandoned office I suppose. Apparently it will be converted to a restaurant after the campaign.
It was pretty cool seeing that Jeff did not shell out a lot of cash on a place, relatively speaking. That area needs more businesses and local support. Nice way to set an example Jeff.
Nia, jokes are always fun, and I am sure we both do not share much in common with the Republican Party.
Whomever wins the 4th Senatorial Race, I must say I find this entire process fascinating.

nia needa life!

I hope the news releases info to the general public about this if it is infact another canidates doing!

Smith needs to get out of the race. First off he's short and white, how is he going to deal with black issues on the northside? The blacks in office cant even deal with the probms. I dont think I would be interested in his vision for my communithy, unless he going to open a strip joint up here.

Jeff Smith being short and white means he can't represent the northside?
Does that mean that Amber Boykins, being fat and black can't represent the southside?
Mr. Fat Nutts, if you're so worried about having one black candidate win, then we shoul all get behind Ms. El-Amin and expose Amber for what a poor legislator she is.
6/23/2006 7:02 PM
what ever nia,,,, blah blah blah,,, yack yack yack,,,,,,
6/24/2006 1:08 AM
Nia- so far you have mostly just attacked Jeff Smith on these blogs. Don't you and Amber realize that if you want to win, you gotta go after EL-Amin? She's out there attacking you guys every day and you have yet to mention her support for school vouchers and her opposition to property rights.
Come on, get your eye on the ball here. El-Amin is the biggest threat to Amber and it seems like Amber is losing the battle.
6/24/2006 11:44 AM
The biggest threat in this political race is the type of support that is being shown by the different people on these blog pages. As a voter, I find most of these comments and attacks very unacceptable and a poor representation of the type of leadership we need in the 4th Senatorial District. Furthermore, I truly believe that the political candidates in this upcoming election have condoned these comments and attacks, and these displays of written exchanges show how far we have fallen from the goodness of mankind.
"Mr. Fat Nutts" name is an embarrassment on this blog page because he has said that he is black! That is such an embarrassment to black people to have a representative on this blog page with that name, and you know why from slavery myths and stereo types of black men. I'm sure white people and others of various ethnic backgrounds are discussing how black people represent themselves on these internet sites.
On the Saint Louis Argus website there are comments from a lady titled, "Angry Black Bitch", and on this website we have "Mr. Fat Nutts", now some people may say that white people do the same thing but that is a lame excuse for disrespecting the black race.
What is more appalling is that "Mr. Fat Nutts" has proclaimed to be a Representative Yaphett El-Amin supporter?
That is disrespectful to her as a black woman, and I don't think either of the female candidates would want to claim support from a "Mr. Fat Nutts."
Your genitalia being exceptionally large is a private matter between you and your significant other, and will not have any bearing on how I vote in the Senatorial race.
As a voter, I am asking all that utilize this website to have some respect and decency for the children as well as elders that take occasion to read this website blog page.
What is popular is not always right, and what is right is not always popular!

Anonymous.... I could care less about your "black" stance. Until you go outside and stop blacks from selling drugs to there neighbors mothers and destorying my own neighborhood, and until you stop blaming the whiteman for blacks problems "dont talk shxt to me!" Second, I dont support el-amin, I dont even know her. but I know that was a low blow, you tried to throw mud on el-amin by saying I support her, I put the facts out their, and Your that lady that doesnt like el-amin, your his ex wife because you type those long blogs and talk that black crap. I can have fat nutts, and stop being scared of letting the truth out about all these policitians. If they are cool then fine but if not, tell it like it is!!!
6/25/2006 11:51 PM
Im just letting my Nutts hang,
