U.S. Senator and 2004 Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry is about to announce his endorsement of Illinois senator Barack Obama for President, according to reports. Labels: Endorsements, Hillary, Obama, Presidential_Primaries
The message here seems to be: John Edwards (Kerry's former running mate) can't win the primary election, Hillary Clinton can't win the general election.

I don't know if this really helps Obama on the surface. Kerry is not particularly beloved in the Democratic Party. Although I'm sure nobody would turn it down, Kerry's endorsement highlights the worst in each candidate (Obama's abstract, aloof style; Hillary's establishment status; Edwards' spot on a losing ticket).
The good news for Obama is that Kerry has a massive e-mail list that Obama will be sure to make good use of.

Thats great...What do you think about well-known African-American, hip hop stars and rappers not coming out and supporting Obama or Clinton. Where is P.Diddy now with that "vote or die" mess he was doing a few years back.
Has anybody seen Diddy (he may not come out because the person that owns his clothing line is supporting Clinton..so I heard), Jay Z, Nelly, Beyonce, 50cent, Chris Brown and other national stars come out and support anybody as of yet.

Maybe the hip hop community is disappointed in the voting records of Billary and Obama on the Juvenile Crimes Bill and the Gang Prevention Act.
They should be!

I'm tired of certain people being afforded the luxury of seemingly deciding who gets to win. I don't care who Kerry endorses, he gets to vote his one vote just like I do, but who he chooses doesn't shut down the choices for the rest of us. So I think your statement that he sends a message that only Obama can win is not accurate, Antonio. It's just pr on Obama's behalf, not some sort of obvious truth.

I was more impressed with Bill bradley's eloquent endorsement of obama:
You know, you see a lot of politicians on the stage and the light shines on them, they kind of swell, you know? ‘Yeah, I’m in the spotlight.’ But Barack reflects that light--doesn’t absorb it--but reflects it back on the people themselves. And when he reflects it back on the people themselves it is because he cannot imagine government without thinking of the people, and that is why the people can imagine him as president of the United States.
than I was with Andrew Cuomo's---whatever the frick this was. I don't speak jive. anyone here speak jive?
A prominent New York Clinton supporter, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, on how Hillary beat Obama in New Hampshire by beating him at retail politics:
”It’s not a TV-crazed race. Frankly you can’t buy your way into it,” Cuomo said. “You can’t shuck and jive at a press conference,” he added. “All those moves you can make with the press don’t work when you’re in someone’s living room.”

"So I think your statement that he sends a message that only Obama can win is not accurate, Antonio."
When John Edwards wins a primary contest, I will apologize.

Whether or not Edwards ever wins one, Obama has yet to either, so what's your point?

It's actually a good thing, whether you like Kerry or not. Kerry is Dem establishment, what Hillary is banking on, so anytime a Dem establishment goes with Barak, it's good.
GO BARAK!!!!!!!!!!

Obama still has the most delegates (25 to Clinton's 24 and Edwards' 18).

Unfortunately, though, Clinton has a big lead among superdelegates, 159 to 53. Hopefully, the Obama campaign's claim that they will be making up some ground will be vindicated in the next few days:

Kerry will probably change his endorsement several different times before November.
And what the hell are you talking about, Suite B? Go back to eMpTyV.
